About

Imagile is Sunny Kolattukudy.

No team page, because there's no team to page. One staff-level engineer, ten-plus years in, doing the work himself.

I started in medicine — Case Western Reserve University and the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. That chapter wasn't really about becoming a doctor, in the end. It was about learning to help people well: understand the problem fully before you act on it, and know that getting it wrong has real consequences for real people. That standard stuck with me longer than the coursework did.

Somewhere in the middle of that I co-founded Deadiron, a melodic thrash metal band. Building something creative with a small group, where everyone has to be fully invested or the whole thing falls apart, turned out to be a pretty good model for what a high-functioning team actually looks like — long before I was leading one professionally.

Then over a decade of software engineering across banking, HR tech, health tech, and ed tech. Different industries, same pattern each time: modernize the solution, build a team that actually collaborates, and level up the organization's engineering practices so every person on it can contribute and grow — not just the senior few.

Imagile exists because of a gap I kept seeing from the inside of those companies: the distance between the people building enterprise software and the people who have to use it. Big consultancies close that gap with headcount and process. I wanted to close it by staying small — one expert, hands-on, doing the work instead of managing the people who do it. Not thought leadership. Practical work, written up honestly, including what didn't work.

Sunny Kolattukudy, founder of Imagile

Staff-level engineer. Over a decade in software, deep in .NET and C#, Blazor WASM, and Angular.

Based in Lewis Center, Ohio — Columbus metro. On-site in Central Ohio and remote everywhere else, equally first-class; remote isn't a fallback tier here.

Talk it through — no pitch deck required.

If it's not a fit, I'll tell you that too.
